Stephen R Walls, Chairman
Prior to the most recent period as the founding partner in Bridley Capital Partners a private equity service / support organisation Stephen was a partner in Compass Partners a leading private equity fund focussed on the European market. During the previous 28 years in Industry Stephen built up an extensive experience managing and involved in global businesses undergoing major changes in structure, strategy and culture. This included Chairman, CEO or CFO of Chesebrough Ponds in the US, Plessey, Arjo Wiggins, Albert Fisher. He has served on the Boards of Lonrho, Securum, Servisair, Electra Aviation, Hoskyns plc and Rabobank. He is currently as well as Chairman of VPS Holdings, also Chairman of Pourshins PLC, CHASE Children's Hospice and is a director of Leisure Link Holdings and Baydrive (Top Golf). He was a founding member of the Financial Reporting Council with the Bank of England.
Ian Quinlan, Group Chief Executive aged 55
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Ian Quinlan was a partner in Ernst & Whinney (now part of Ernst & Young) between 1982 and 1988. He then became Group Finance Director of The Albert Fisher Group PLC a major processor and distributor of fresh fruits, vegetables and seafoods. In 1999 he became Group Chief Executive of Orbis PLC the listed void security provider operating in the UK and continental Europe.
In 2003 Ian Quinlan led the management buy in team which acquired Vacant Property Security Limited and its subsidiaries on 19th September 2003.
Stephen W James, Chief Financial Officer aged 48
Stephen has held a number of senior group financial positions in the food manufacturing industry operating in Europe and Africa in both public and venture capital backed businesses. This includes Fisher Foods and latterly Rayner Food Group. During this time he has gained significant experience in business development and in mergers and acquisitions.
Simon C Broadbent, Executive Director aged 45
After service in the Armed Forces Simon Broadbent has spent most of his career in property related companies in either operational or business development roles. He was a founder of Security Closures Limited where he gained significant experience in developing a growing business, which was later acquired by Orbis PLC.
Melissa Deniz Non-executive Director aged 34
Melissa has over 15 years financial and operational experience covering private equity, funds management, treasury, operational risk management and advisory. She commenced her career with Coopers&Lybrand where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Over the last five years Melissa has been working as an Investment Executive within Henerson Private Capital a mid market private equity fund investing in private companies across UK and Europe.
Gideon Israel, Non-executive Director
After gaining a BSc (Hons) Engineering, Gideon worked in an architecture firm before in 1976 starting Ward Damp-proofing Limited, a specialist plastering and timber treatment company. In 1986, Gideon started Multisecure Limited (a security door business) and in 1992 started Multisecure Void Property Protection Limited (an empty property protection business) both sold to Orbis PLC in 1997. Safe Estates Services Limited was started in 2000 and sold to VPS Holdings in 2004.
